Matcha Soy Milk

It is mid summer now. Even here in London it is very hot. I always have afternoon tea with a piece of cake and a cup of Earl Grey Tea or Coffee, but sometimes I rather want to have something cold instead of a hot drink during summertime.

This chilled Matcha Latte is used with Soy milk so if you are allergic to dairy or just don’t wat to have any milk products this is just the drink for you.


(Free from Gluten/Dairy/Egg/Oil)

Matcha Soy Milk Preparation

  • 1Tbs of Matcha Green Tea Powder
  • 260ml of Soy Milk (unsweetened / unadjusted)
  • 2-3 Tbs of Honey (or sugar/any syrup you prefer)
  • 2 Tbs of Hot water
  • Ice cubes

Prepare glass to serve in a refrigerator to chill it well.

Matcha jugPut Matcha Green Tea Powder in a whiskable container. Add hot water to dissolve the powder and remove any lumps of the tea powder by whisking. Add Honey (or sugar / syrup if you prefer) and mix well.

Pour in Soy milk into the container, Whisk well to combine all the ingredients together.

Prepare the chilled glass with some ice cubes in. Whisk the mixture hard again to create as much froth as possible.

Pour the frothed up mixture into the chilled glasses. Dust some Matcha Green Tea powder on top of the froth.

Of course you can make this with dairy milk if you prefer. Please adjust the amount of sweetness for your taste.
